Motorists are facing slow traffic due to an incident.
One lane has been closed due to a crash on the A27 eastbound between Falmer and the Ashcombe roundabout.
Eyewitnesses say emergency services are on the scene.
Journey times are estimated to be around 25 minutes.
Sussex Police has been contacted for comment.
