Heavy rain and flooding is causing disruption to trains.

Flooding on the railway between Lewes and Haywards Heath has blocked the line.

Trains running between these stations may be cancelled or delayed by up to 30 minutes.

This affects the Southern trains running between Eastbourne/Ore and London Victoria.

According to network rail, trains are currently unable to run from Lewes towards Haywards Heath.

Disruption is expected until 5.30pm.

Trains running from Eastbourne to London Victoria are being diverted from Lewes and will run via Brighton towards London.

The northbound services will miss Cooksbridge and Plumpton while Network Rail response teams attend to the problem.
