A road remains closed after a petrol tanker broke down in flooding.
The tanker got stuck in the flooding at around 5am this morning on the A267 at Cross in Hand, east of Uckfield.
It can be seen in several feet of water with its hazard lights on.
Sussex has been hit with torrential downpours today which have caused disruption for commuters.
The Met Office issued a yellow weather warning for rain from midnight to 3pm today.
Hove has seen more than 30mm of rain today, around a third of the average monthly rainfall for the county in November.
The Environment Agency issued a red weather warning for residents in Buxted after 40mm of rain fell over the morning.
A Sussex Police spokesman said: "Sussex Police received a report of a broken down vehicle on the A267 near Heathfield at about 5am on November 3.
"Officers have assisted East Sussex County Council Highways team with a temporary road closure."
