A man who set fire to a room in a stand-off with police was airlifted to hospital.
Two men were in a stand-off with police in Arun Road, Bognor Regis at around 5pm on Friday, November 4.
Sussex Police attended to arrest the two men, when one man set fire to a room inside the property.
He jumped out of a window and sustained serious injuries, which required him to be taken to hospital via the air ambulance.
The man received emergency medical treatment and was then arrested on suspicion of arson with the intent to endanger life and breaching a domestic violence protection notice.
A 56-year-old woman from Bognor Regis was also arrested on suspicion of assaulting an emergency worker. She remains in custody at this time.
