REGARDING your article (November 8) on the hideous bike hangar that's been dumped (one could hardly describe it as installed) in Norfolk Square, Brighton, might it be pertinent for The Argus to interview the "environment and transport" co-chairs, Amy Heley and Steve Davis, in order to ascertain just WHO is responsible for this outbreak of shoddy workmanship which is disfiguring our once-beautiful city from end to end.
At present it seems well-nigh impossible to wring any information out of the town hall as the vast majority of the staff are said to be working from home and, should one be so fortunate as to leave a message, it may, on occasion, be answered several days later - so long as it hasn't been "deleted in error" as several of mine were recently.
This is simply unacceptable and it would be so helpful if we could find out when, if ever, our town hall is going to be restored to "business as usual" ie as it was before the pandemic, with a full complement of staff (for whom we're all paying), fully accessible to the public.
