A man was taken to hospital with potentially life-changing injuries after a car collided with a tree.

The 36-year-old man was taken to St Richard’s Hospital in Chichester after a grey Peugeot 407 crashed into a tree in Plaistow Road in the village of Kirdford.

A police spokesman said the man was suffering with serious potentially life-changing or life-threatening injuries.

Officers are appealing for witnesses to the collision, which happened around 9.05pm on November 2.

Those who were driving in the area at the time, saw the car driving before the collision, or have any relevant information or dashcam footage are urged to report it by emailing collision.appeal@sussex.police.uk, quoting Operation Byworth.
