A Lioness who helped England secure victory in the Euros was the special guest at the opening of a new hair salon.

Millie Bright attended the grand opening of Laura Jane Hair in Crawley’s Langley Parade on Saturday.

It had been a dream of Laura Golding’s to have a salon for years and with the help of her partner Daniel Rossetter it opened to a “stream” of customers.

The 26-year-old, who has been a hairdresser for 12 years, has been doing the Chelsea defender’s hair for around a year and even travelled to meet her during the Euros for appointments.

Barber and tattooist Mr Rossetter, who runs A Star Tattoos, has also tattooed the footballer.

“I’ve tattooed Millie a couple of times and because we follow each other on social media she noticed Laura was doing a lot of specialised balayage,” he said.

“So she’s been using Laura for about a year. And Laura travelled around when Millie was playing in the Euros.

“She’s done a few other footballers and other celebrities too.

“Millie said she’d come down and do the opening, which was really good.”

The 39-year-old said the opening was “fantastic”.

“We opened for three hours and the whole three hours there was a stream of people,” he said.

“It was really busy for the full three hours.

“It could not have gone any better to be honest.”

Bright had her hair done before the opening and has created a promotional video for the salon.

Mr Rossetter said business has been great so far.

“It’s been really good considering the environment at the minute and since Covid businesses have suffered," he said.

“We’re really trying to focus on high quality service and good customer care.

“And people have really noticed that even though we’ve only been open a short amount of time.

“We’re getting a lot of good feedback already. It’s been great.”
