Protesters appeared in court after being charged for causing a public nuisance following disruption on the M25.
Five people had their cases sent to Brighton Magistrates’ Court.
Just Stop Oil have been protesting on the M25 throughout the week and have caused severe delays and disruption to motorists in Hertfordshire, Sussex, Surrey, Essex and Kent.
Diana Hekt, 68, of Victoria Road, Kirklees will appear at Brighton Magistrates’ Court today alongside Tez Burns, 34, of Beaufort Court, Swansea.
This comes after Rachel Payne, 71, from Banbury appeared at Brighton Magistrates’ Court alongside Jesse Prince, 19, from Bristol on Thursday, November 10.
Isabel Rock, 40, from London, appeared alongside Payne and Price on the same day.
They were charged as part of a joint operation involving five separate police forces: Metropolitan Police, Essex Police, Surrey Police, Kent Police and Hertfordshire Police.
The remaining 17 people charged will appear at courts across the country.
