Motorists have been urged to take care as a weather warning for fog is in force for parts of the county.

The yellow weather warning issued by the Met Office covers the northern part of Sussex, including Haywards Heath, Uckfield, Crawley and Battle.

Areas of fog are expected to reduce visibility to around 100 metres in places, leading to difficult driving conditions.

The alert is in place until 10am this morning, with warnings of slower journey times and a chance of delays to bus and train services.

Today’s forecast is expected to be cloudy with a high of around 15C, with heavy rain and strong winds of up to 42mph to batter the south coast tomorrow.
