A team from BBC Radio Sussex and BBC South East have almost completed a pier-to-pier journey to raise money for Children in Need.

The challenge has seen the team take on a 60-mile walk over five days, starting at Town Pier in Gravesend, Kent, towards Eastbourne Pier.

Among those taking part over the last few days include BBC Radio Sussex evening show presenter Connor Moseley.

The team will today set off from the village of Horam, near Heathfield, toward the finishing line at Eastbourne Pier.

The challenge is part of a campaign championed by Joe Wicks, who is encouraging everyone to walk and talk and raise money for charity.

He said: “I’d like to wish good luck to everyone taking part in Pudsey’s pier-to-pier challenge - you’re making a real difference.”

This year’s Children in Need day takes place today, with a telethon on BBC One from 7pm.
