Filming for the latest series of ITV’s Grace has been taking place in the city centre.

John Simm, who plays DS Roy Grace, was spotted in Gresham Blake tailors on the corner of Bond Street in Brighton.

He was joined by Craig Parkinson, who plays DS Norman Potting, in a scene where the characters were chatting and looking at suits.

Lorries being used to carry lighting and equipment were outside the Jubilee Library in nearby Jubilee Street. There was also a lorry in Bond Street.

Dozens of crew members were stationed outside the tailors in the rain while filming was taking place.

It is for part of season three of the crime drama, which is set to air next year.

Filming started in Rottingdean in August and the crews have been in several other locations around the city including Park View Road in Hove and Spring Gardens in Brighton.

There has also been filming at Brighton Railway Station and Woodingdean Primary School.

The show is adapted from the books by best-selling crime author Peter James, who spoke to The Argus about his latest novel, Picture You Dead, back in September. He talked about Brighton's "criminal pedigree".

Peter, who is from Brighton, said: "If you wanted to design your perfect city as a criminal, you would choose Brighton."
