The Met Office has issued a weather warning for rain and wind in Sussex.

A yellow warning will be in place from 10am tomorrow until 7pm that evening.

Forecasters said a “brief spell of heavy rain and strong, gusty winds” could cause some flooding and disruption to transport.

There has already been some heavy showers today, which prompted the Environment Agency to issue six flood alerts for Sussex.

What to expect

  • Spray and flooding on roads probably making journey times longer
  • Some delays to road, rail, air and ferry transport are likely
  • Delays for high-sided vehicles on exposed routes and bridges likely
  • Flooding of a few homes and businesses is possible
