A community came together to face their fears and take part in a fire walk for a good cause.
People took part in the daring feat to fundraise for Guild Care.
The Worthing based charity, alongside its three care homes – Haviland House, Caer Gwent and Linfield House – provides over 30 community services across the Worthing area for older people, people living with dementia, and children and adults with learning disabilities.
This year’s fire walk, sponsored by ETI thermometer shop, managed to raise more than £8,000.
Jason Webb, managing director of ETI, said: “Guild Care is such an important charity and the opportunity to support them once again through their fantastic fire walk event was a great honour for ETI.
“It was wonderful to see so many people come along from our community to cheer on all the brave participants and help raise vital funds. All the money raised is helping Guild Care to continue offering their outstanding services to the people of Worthing and the surrounding area and ETI is very proud to be involved.”
Businesses including HD Tribe Funerals and The Letting Partnership participated in the walk as well as members of the community.
A spokesman from Guild Care said: “Guild Care would like to thank everyone who bravely took part, supported and donated towards this amazing total.
“A huge thank you to Thieves Kitchen and Blue Dakota who both gave their time and space for free.
“Guild Care is a charity which aims to reduce social isolation and social stigma and works with older people, people living with dementia, and people with learning disabilities in Worthing and the surrounding area.”
