A brand-new exhibition has been announced for the popular Artists Open Houses festival.

Luminate joins the packed schedule of artists’ houses for the annual celebration, which kicks off today.

The pop-up art exhibition, which will be based in the North Laine, Brighton, will shine a light on winter’s darkness with paintings, collages, photographs, and prints, from a collective of five artists with rich and varied backgrounds - all juggling life roles with their passion for making art.

Work displayed has been created by artists and photographers Emma de Polnay, Maxine Allan, James Cowland, Frances Anderson and Claire Richards.

This year, Artists Open Houses celebrates its 40th anniversary and will see fifty-three houses across the Brighton and Hove area open their doors to the public.

The focus of the winter festival is Christmas, with venues selling a range of artworks and handmade crafts as gifts.

Luminate opens on Saturday, December 3 at 13, Trafalgar Street, BN1 4EQ and will be open until Tuesday, December 18.
