Two audio innovators have been honoured with a national award.
Davies and Naomi Roberts are the co-founders of Flare, a company which sells earphones, earplugs and other accessories.
They were named small business entrepreneur of the year at the Great British Entrepreneur Awards in a ceremony in London.
This is the second gong this month for the company, which was presented with the innovation award at the Adur and Worthing business awards for the second year running.
“We’re passionate about what we do, so to be recognised with these awards, from the local and nationwide business communities, is a real honour,” said Flare co-founder Naomi Roberts.
The company designs and manufactures audio technology, enhancing people’s experience of sound while protecting ears from damaging distortion.
Its wide range of earphones has earned them a following from big name musicians and producers.
It has a range which helps people reduce stressful sound frequencies to "calm their environment".
Flare also sells in-ear buds which turn stress-inducing traffic sirens and babies crying into a softer sound that no longer puts people on edge.
It is also helping people with sound sensitivities such as misophonia, hyperacusis, and those on the autism spectrum.
