Four fire engines are attending a blaze in a high street.
Firefighters were in attendance in North Street, Midhurst, at 9.30am this morning.
Crews from Midhurst, Petworth and Surrey are in attendance at the fire, which is said to be in the closed down Barclays Bank building.
A spokesman for West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service said: “Please be aware there is a road closure in the town centre with traffic passing through one lane. We expect this to be in place for some time.”
The Argus understands the fire is now being damped down.
