The Argus ran a piece earlier this year on a sponsored walk I organised.
The walk was called Pounding Feet and took place on Saturday, May 17, to raise funds for the Chestnut Tree House, Trevor Mann Baby Unit and the Lily of the Valley children's village in South Africa. We have raised about £3,000 so far with money still coming in.
Staff, relatives and friends of Red Oaks Care Home in Henfield all took part with some walking the 20 miles from Littlehampton Pier to the Palace Pier. Thirty two people finished the walk, including two residents of the home who were either pushed or walked from the West Pier.
Thank you to all those who helped make the day a success, whether by walking, helping or sponsoring the event.
