The fire service has provided an update following a fire at an old bank on a high street.
Four fire engines attended the blaze in North Street, Midhurst, at 9.30am yesterday morning.
Crews from Midhurst, Petworth and Surrey were in attendance at the closed down Barclays Bank building.
Firefighters cut away part of the building to put out fire which appeared to be in the roof.
No injuries were reported.
A spokesman for West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service said yesterday: “Please be aware there is a road closure in the town centre with traffic passing through one lane.
"We expect this to be in place for some time.”
The road was reopened yesterday.
Crews left the scene at 11.30am.
