Health bosses meet today to decide whether to approve controversial changes to hospital services.
After almost two years of consultation, West Sussex Primary Care Trust's board will decide whether to make Worthing Hospital the major general hospital in the county.
That would mean downgrading St Richard's in Chichester and the Princess Royal in Haywards Heath.
The meeting takes place at the Copthorne Hotel in Copthorne, near Crawley, at 2pm
