A teenage boy was taken to hospital after being punched in the face in an unprovoked attack in broad daylight in a town centre.

The 13-year-old boy was walking along the upper promenade in Grand Parade in Hastings when he was set upon by a group of two boys and a girl, and was headbutted and punched in the face.

The group, who were all wearing black and had a black scooter, then made off towards Hastings Pier.

He was taken to Conquest Hospital for treatment for his injuries.

Police are appealing for witnesses and information about the attack, which took place at around 4pm on November 28.

Anyone who witnessed the incident, saw the group in the area around the time, or who may have more information, is asked to report it online or call 101, quoting serial 1180 of 28/11.
