Crews attended a fire at a heritage railway station last night.
The incident, involving a tarmacking machine at Kingscote railway station, took place last night.
Firefighters from Turners Hill fire station were on standby to give cover at Haywards Heath fire station.
A spokesman for Turners Hill station said: "It was a busy day for our crews.
"We attended a number of calls and closed an incident by Kingscote railway station where a tarmacking machine was well alight."
Crews wore breathing apparatus to extinguish the fire and make the scene safe.
The firefighters working alongside East Grinstead fire station to put out the blaze.
