A man has been assaulted by the driver of a white van after he claimed that his car had been blocked in by the vehicle.
A 44-year-old man said that he had returned to his car in Beckley Village Hall car park in Rye to find that he could not move his car.
After asking the driver of the van to move the vehicle, the man, from Hastings, was assaulted and sustained facial injuries which required hospital treatment.
Police are now appealing for witnesses to the assault in Woodperry Road which occurred between 12.30pm and 12.45pm on November 26.
The suspect has been described as white, around 5ft 10 inches, and of stocky build. He is also described as having short, dark hair and was wearing a blue shirt and dark blue jeans.
Anyone who witnessed the assault or has any information which could help officers with their investigation, is asked to report it to police online, or call 101, quoting serial 831 of 30/11.
