Cameron Woodward has targeted another double-figure score after receiving a long-awaited recall by his top-flight Polish club.

The Eastbourne Eagles star has been selected by Rzeszow for their re-arranged Ekstraliga clash at home to Czestochowa on Friday..

He flew to Sweden today ready to race for Valsarna at Kaparna in the second-tier Allsvenskan tonight.

Then comes a morning flight from Stockholm to Katowice and a dash along the potholed highways of southern Poland in time for practice at Rzeszow.

Woodward scored a battling paid-ten from four rides when his Polish side beat Wroclaw on a tricky wet track in April but had not heard back from the club now.

He said: "I had been having trouble getting in contact with them but they want to talk to me now.

"It will be different this time. The track will hopefully be good and the weather is meant to be decent.

"I would like to get double figures again. The engine I've got out there isn't very good but they have done some work on it and I'll have time to practise.

"I'd love to get a big score so they won't forget about me. That's the plan."

Woodward's team will be up against world champion Nicki Pedersen, who is top scorer for Czestochowa. The visitors could also include Eagles skipper Lee Richardson while Scott Nicholls is a regular in the Rzeszow side.

Ironically Woodward was left out of the original running of this fixture so took a booking in Germany and was piling up points in sunny Bavaria while Pedersen, Nicholls, Richardson and company watched the rain fall in Rzeszow.

The three Eagles riders will return on Saturday in time for their side's attractive looking clash with Swindon at Arlington that evening.
