Albion stars have wished their fellow teammate Alexis Mac Allister the best of luck ahead of his World Cup final clash.

Mac Allister, who plays for the Argentine national team, will face off against current world champions France in the climax of the tournament in Qatar later this afternoon.

A video shared on social media shows some of Mac Allister’s teammates in Brighton wishing him well ahead of the match.

Albion captain Lewis Dunk wished him the best of luck and said: “Bring that trophy home son.”

Billy Gilmour said that the whole team is behind him, while Solly March said: “I hope you bring a World Cup winner’s medal home to Brighton.”

Julio Enciso, originally from Paraguay - which borders Argentina, offered his best wishes in Spanish.

“I hope you do super well and that you bring back the Cup for us all,” he said.

Mac Allister scored for Argentina in their group match against Poland, helping the team secure a top-place finish in the group stages of the tournament.

Argentina and France will go toe to toe seeking World Cup glory this afternoon, with kick-off at 3pm.

Captaining the Argentine side is Lionel Messi, who is playing his fifth and final World Cup as he looks to crown a glittering career with victory in Qatar.
