Albion fans turned out in their thousands and were in high spirits at the Amex, despite a 4-2 defeat to Arsenal in the Seagulls' final match of 2022.

Bukayo Saka scored within just 65 seconds for the Premier League leaders, before Martin Odegaard and Eddie Nketiah extended Arsenal's advantage before half-time.

Kaoru Mitoma pulled one back for Albion in the second half, only for Gabriel Martinelli to score a fourth goal for Arsenal.

A goal by Evan Ferguson for the Seagulls saw the match end 4-2.

The defeat didn't dampen the spirits of Albion fans, however, who were decked out in blue and white scarves and carrying banners to support the team.

The win extended Arsenal's lead in the Premier League to seven points, with Brighton sitting in eighth - behind Fulham and just in front of former Albion manager Graham Potter's Chelsea.
