A Sussex MP has called on the Duke of Sussex to “shut the f*** up” after the royal accused his family of “betrayal”.

In a clip of an interview with American broadcaster CBS, Harry told Anderson Cooper: “There have been briefings and leakings and planting of stories against me and my wife.

“The family motto is never complain, never explain, but it’s just a motto.

“They will have a conversation with a correspondent and that correspondent will be spoon-fed information and at the bottom of it, they will say they have reached out to Buckingham Palace for comment. But the whole story is Buckingham Palace commenting.”

Reacting to the clip on Twitter, East Worthing and Shoreham MP Tim Loughton urged Prince Harry to “just shut the f*** up”.

CBS has described the full interview with Prince Harry, which comes shortly before the release of his new autobiography, as “revealing”.

The new book, which is expected to give details about his disagreements with the Prince of Wales, hits bookshelves on January 10.

It comes after the duke claimed in a Netflix documentary that his brother Prince William broke a promise to him never to leak stories or brief against one another after witnessing the fallout of such actions in their father’s office.
