A 17-year-old boy has been arrested on suspicion of murder after a woman was found dead.
Sussex Police attended the house in Hollington Old Lane, St Leonards, just after 6pm last night.
The woman, in her 50s, was pronounced dead when police arrived.
The boy was arrested on suspicion of murder at the property and remains in custody.
They were both known to each other and police are not seeking anyone else in connection with the incident.
Forensics officers could be seen entering the home this morning.
A tent was set up which was storing equipment.
A spokesman added: “We will remain at the property for the coming days and we thank local residents for their support as we carry out our investigation.”
