These are all the events happening in Eastbourne this year.

Eastbourne Borough Council has announced its line up of events in the town which includes Eastbourne Airshow, the Rothesay International tennis, beer festivals and much more.

It will kick off with a free stargazing night on Saturday, January 28, at The Beachy Head Story in Beachy Head Road, near Eastbourne.

Other events will include another stargazing event on February 25, the Eastbourne Half Marathon on March 5 and the seafront markets from April 7.

The council’s lead member for tourism and culture, councillor Margaret Bannister, said: “There is so much happening across Eastbourne in 2023. Our packed programme looks to provide something for everyone.

“We can’t wait to showcase Eastbourne to visitors and residents alike, making it a year full of entertainment and events.”

On April 29 and April 30, Magnificent Motors, which showcases classic cars, will be on the town’s Western Lawns for the bank holiday.

Approaching the summer, there is a beer and cider festival on the Western Lawns from May 19 to May 21.

It features more than 100 ales, craft beers and cask ciders.

The Rothesay International tennis tournament will be from July 23 to July 28.

The soapbox race returns on September 24.

Eastbourne Airshow is being held between August 17 and August 20.
