A Sussex postcode has been named among the 11 "coolest" to move to in 2023 according to The Sunday Times.

The TN35 postcode, which corresponds to the village of Pett Level in East Sussex, has been included.

It featured alongside the likes of the E10 postcode in Leyton, London, the G1 postcode in Glasgow and the DL6 postcode in Potto, North Yorkshire.

In the article, The Sunday Times wrote: "What makes a neighbourhood hot? Great independent shops, the perfect pub, local culture — and some Instagrammable scenery? We thought so, which is why we’ve scoured the UK for the coolest addresses for 2023."

What's so good about the TN35 postcode?

The Sunday Times said the TN35 postcode was a better alternative to the nearby Dungeness in Kent.

Pett Level is a much quieter spot to live at, with it being described as "a sleepy, crowd-free stretch of the East Sussex coastline between Hastings and Rye".

If you're interested in archaeology then this is a great place for you, as the coast towards Cliff End is "littered with dinosaur footprints" and at low tide you can spot "the fossilised tree stumps of a prehistoric forest".

A bit further inland you can enjoy the spoils of the village itself, with a selection of classic pubs and a family-run Old Butcher’s Shop which offers great local produce.

For those in-the-know, the "ancient" Guestling Wood has a lot to offer in terms of "spectacular wood anemone and bluebell bonanzas".
