A popular pizza restaurant has returned to a city centre - in the same spot it left empty two years ago.
The Pizza Express in Jubilee Square in Brighton closed in January 2021 as part of national closures due to the pandemic.
The unit was left empty for some time before being taken over by Thai restaurant Lime Squeezy.
Giggling Squid's sister brand lasted less than six months and closed before Christmas 2022.
Now Pizza Express has applied for a new licence there and will be reopening soon.
Builders and vans with trade equipment have been seen outside the site, which now has a new Pizza Express logo at the top of its large glass front.
A spokesman for the pizza chain said: “Our Jubilee Square restaurant will open next month and we look forward to welcoming guests.
"If you cannot wait that long for our delicious pizza, our other restaurants in The Lanes and at the Marina are open.”
