A rail operator has provided an update on work to repair a landslip near the track.
Network Rail teams have been piling in steel girders near the track between Hurst Green and East Grinstead.
The landslip near Lingfield happened at around 11am last Tuesday and has meant no trains have been able to run on the line.
Southern Rail expects services to resume on Tuesday morning.
A Southern Rail spokesman: “A landslip has blocked the railway near Lingfield. Trains cannot run between Hurst Green and East Grinstead in either direction.
“If you need to travel, you'll have to use an alternative route which will extend your travel time by at least 30 minutes.”
Tickets can be used on other Southern services between Haywards Heath, Three Bridges or Redhill and London.
They can also be used on the route between Tonbridge, Edenbridge, Godstone and Redhill.
They can also be used on Thameslink services between Tonbridge, London Bridge and London Charing Cross, as well as Southeastern between Tonbridge, London Bridge and London Charing Cross.
Metrobus on 291 between Crawley and East Grinstead can also be used.
Trains should run from 5am on Wednesday.
