Nominations are open for the best food and drinks venues in the city.

People can nominate their favourite venues in the city as part of the Brighton Restaurants Awards Vote Online (Bravos).

Voting opened yesterday for the 16 categories, which include best restaurant, best roast, best cocktails and an eating well for less category.

Bravo founder Nick Harvey said: “Brighton hospitality is thriving against all the odds and we’d like to think that the Bravos has a part to play in its continued success.

“Every year we see new businesses nominated which shows us the vitality of the food scene.

“The thousands of votes from the public prove the continued passion the local community has for the amazingly good food and drink available in the city.”

Voting is open for six weeks until March 16 and winners will be announced in April.

The winner of each category will receive a Bravo wooden trophy, while the top 20 will be placed and listed on the winner’s page.

Last year, Burnt Orange won the best restaurant category.

During the voting period, the Bravos will also be running prize giveaways on their social media channels.

One person who votes will also be randomly selected to receive £200 to spend at a venue of their choice.
