A large emergency response has been called to the scene of a crash along the A259.

Police, fire crews and the ambulance service have been spotted near The Lamb Inn pub near Bexhill following a crash involving two cars.

One of the cars was seen in a bush, while the other was seen on its side overturned.

The road is partially blocked in both directions, with traffic queuing due to the accident.

Congestion has built up between Polegate and Hastings following the incident.

Sussex Police have been contacted for comment.
