Brighton and Hove Albion have some of the most affordable matchday tickets in the Premier League.

A study analysed how many hours people would have to work to buy a ticket for their favourite team and found that Albion tickets were among the best.

Tickets at the Amex cost the equivalent of an average 1.8 working hours for people in Brighton, beating those at Stamford Bridge and Old Trafford.

Brighton tickets ranked as the joint seventh cheapest per working hour, on a par with Nottingham Forest.

The study also found that fans going to five Albion games paid £150, the joint third lowest amount in the league.

The research by Seatpicks.com compared the average hourly wage of each team’s local residents with the average cost of tickets to games.
