With its beautiful beach, quaint winding lanes and eclectic mix of people, Brighton is a popular tourist destination for people from the UK and around the world.

But what makes Brighton residents proud of the city?

Carol Dean said: "The sound of the seagulls, the amazing sunsets, the quirky characters that you see.

"Street entertainment, The Lanes, the North Laine, the parks."

She also mentioned Madeira Drive - and urged the council to fix it.

"Please fix our Madeira Drive," she said. "It was once so beautiful."
