A city centre coffee shop has closed for just over a week while it has a makeover.

Every aspect of the Costa in Bond Street, Brighton, is being refurbished as contractors take over the building to remove furnishings, shop fittings and equipment.

The store is a busy hub for coffee fans.

But it will be closed until Wednesday next week while workmen carry out the refurbishment.

The interior is now bare, with cables and wires dangling from the ceiling.

A sign outside the shop says: "We're brewing something new.

"Be back soon, brighter than ever."
