Works are taking place on David Gilmour's seaside retreat which is still for sale.

The property, owned by the Pink Floyd frontman, was completed in 2020, but went on the market in August last year.

Now the property in King’s Esplanade, Hove, has been spotted with scaffolding on one of its facades.

A nearby resident told The Argus: "It looks like major works, there's definitely something going on on the top floor.

"The windows are covered and everyone is stopping to look at it."

Medina House is still up for sale and is thought to be one of the most expensive homes in the city, with a price tag of £15 million.

The five-bedroom haven boasts views out to the English Channel and a state-of-the-art recording studio.

The custom-built seafront mansion, designed by award-winning architect Keb Gavarito-Bruhn, replaced a former 19th-century bathhouse and incorporates the distinctive crow-stepped Dutch gable of the original building.

If that wasn’t enough, the seaside paradise also has its own wine store, gym, library, sauna, study and even an orangery.

David and his wife Polly listed the home with independent property consultants Pereds, which has a history of selling huge properties in sought-after locations.
