The Red Arrows will their return to one of the county’s top air shows this year.

Eastbourne Airbourne will see the world famous jets take centre stage between August 17 and 20.

The team will star alongside the Battle of Britain memorial flight, and the thunderous Typhoon fast jet as part of 15 displays on the air show’s 29th anniversary.

Councillor Margaret Bannister, of Eastbourne Borough Council, said: “To receive 15 RAF flying displays over the four days already is phenomenal news.

“Now the work begins on confirming the rest of the flying programme with more fast jets, historic aircraft, helicopters and parachute displays to come.

“As last year, we can only book these displays with enough financial support from businesses and air show fans, so I would urge everyone to support the show in any way they can – from joining the Supporters Club to booking airs how seating, sponsoring a flying display and much more.”

Other aerobatic displays, including helicopters, will be announced over the coming months, along with details of the ground displays from both the RAF and Army.

Tickets start from £25 up to £50.
