A man has been arrested after a Range Rover was broken into and stolen from a business forecourt.

Andrew Potter found his blue Range Rover had been taken from outside Brighton and Hove Auctions in Warren Road, Brighton.

Now, a 20-year-old man from Brighton has been arrested on suspicion of theft.

Andrew said: “We aren’t going to get it back and the arrest doesn’t take away the fact that someone has stolen the car.

“Hopefully this helps but who would want the car back after it was driven away like that.”

A Sussex Police spokesman previously said: “Police received a report of the theft of a Range Rover from outside a property in Warren Road, Brighton, on Tuesday, March 7, at around 1.30pm.

“The vehicle was seen to be driven erratically and at speed away from the scene.

“An investigation is under way to locate the vehicle and identify any suspects.

“Anybody who has any information that could help is asked to contact police online or via 101, quoting serial 652 of 07/03.”

The man who has been arrested has been released on conditional bail, with the investigation still open and ongoing.
