A teenager has appeared in court after a stabbing at a McDonald’s restaurant.

The boy,16, who cannot be named for legal reasons, appeared at Hove Crown Court.

He pleaded not guilty to wounding with intent.

A 16-year-old boy was stabbed at the McDonalds in Liverpool Road, Worthing, on February 13, and was in hospital with potentially life-threatening injuries.

He is recovering but is said to have “lost a kidney” – the court heard.

A trial is set for August 7 but no court has been decided yet.
