The bank in Castle Square, Pavilion Buildings, Brighton, will close this summer.

It is one of 80 branches closing nationwide

It comes as Barclays, Virgin Money, NatWest, Lloyds, Halifax and TSB have announced 132 closures between them, data from Link, a cash machine company, said.

In a letter to its customers, seen by The Argus, NatWest said: "Closing a branch is a difficult decision and not one that we take lightly. We understand that this branch closure may be challenging for many, and we are working hard to help prepare our customers, and colleagues, for the closure."

The next nearest branch is in Churchill Square shopping centre in Western Road.

The Pavilion Buildings branch will close on August 16.
