Part of the Palace Pier has been repaired after being damaged by strong winds.
One of the pier’s flagpoles flying the Union Jack was blown away in a winter storm earlier this year.
However, maintenance teams put up another flagpole yesterday afternoon to replace the one lost in windy conditions.
A cherry picker was spotted on the pier as maintenance crews installed the missing flagpole and hoisted the Union Jack.
A spokeswoman for the Palace Pier said: “Unfortunately the flagpole was the victim of high winds but a new one is now in place in time for the King’s coronation.”
