A new independent gelato shop enjoyed a hugely successful launch weekend, opening just in time for the warmer weather.
Owner Andie Galifou opened Cocco Gelato, in College Road, Brighton, completely selling out of their delicious gelato just two days in.
Making their frozen treats at a central kitchen just outside of London, the business also offers tasty waffles and Dutch pancakes.
“It was just a spur of the moment thing really. We got the space in November last year and have been working on it since,” said Andie.
“The hardest thing was the weather which stopped work quite a few times.
“It did really well on the opening weekend, it’s also really nice to be part of the community around here. We really do love it.
“We really are lucky, it’s been busy every day.”
Cocco Gelato also hopes to begin supplying restaurants with their sweet treats.
