A man is in hospital and a 19-year-old has been arrested after a stabbing.
Sussex Police were called to The Avenue, Eastbourne, shortly after 9.30pm on Sunday following reports a man had been stabbed.
He suffered a wound to his stomach and has been taken to the Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton.
Police said his injuries are believed to be serious but not life-threatening at this time.
Officers attended the scene and following enquiries they arrested a 19-year-old man on suspicion of wounding with intent.
He remains in custody at this time.
A Sussex Police spokesman said: “An investigation is ongoing and anyone who saw what happened or who has any other information is asked to contact police online or by calling 101 quoting serial 1346 of 30/04.”
