Passengers travelling through Gatwick airport this weekend have a chance to be treated like royals in a premium lounge.. but there's a catch.

British Airways is opening the doors of its luxury lounge to passengers on Saturday if their surname is King or Queen.

They will be able to kick off their trips in style at Gatwick with access to the First Lounge in the South Terminal to celebrate the coronation of King Charles.

Panoramic views of the airfield are on offer in the luxury lounge which has an extensive buffet and drinks counter.

Once 35,000 feet in the air, passengers will be treated to special coronation-themed Eton mess popcorn tarts and afternoon teas.

Elsewhere on the flag carrier's network, the airline is gearing up for a weekend of celebration for the coronation.

Flight BA059 from Heathrow to Cape Town will be crewed by colleagues called Charles and Camilla, with a team of ten staff on board called Camilla, Charles, Kamila and Milllie.

It will be flown by three pilots called Charles.

A giant mural has also been created on the approach to London Heathrow airport, giving flyers a "royal welcome" to the nation.
