An investigation is underway to identify a mystery “masturbating” naked old man.
The man was seen on the South Downs near Bexhill Road in Woodingdean last Thursday just before 3pm.
One jogger saw him “nude and masturbating while watching her and passersby” near Bexhill Road skatepark.
Sussex Police were called but could not find the man.
A spokesman said: “Police received a report of a naked elderly man behaving indecently on the South Downs near Bexhill Road in Brighton on Thursday, May 11, at around 2.55pm.
“Officers attended and carried out an extensive search of the area but did not locate the individual.
“Police are continuing with the enquiries to identify the person concerned.

“Anyone with information is asked to contact police online or call 101, quoting serial 902 of 11/05.”
People described the incident as "absolutely disgusting".
Another person added: "I hope they were caught and dealt with."
