Clare Balding has recorded a four-mile walk in the Winnie the Pooh forest as part of her latest BBC Radio 4 series.
The sports presenter was joined on the walk in Ashdown Forest by Eka Morgan, who presents a podcast about the woods there and wildlife guide Tom Forward.
They were also joined by the chief executive of Ashdown Forest James Adler and Kari Dunbar, the forest’s lead warden.

James said: “It was a great joy to welcome Clare and Ramblings to the forest.
“Clare has an incredible way of making our beautiful forest come alive through words.
“She clearly loved what she saw and our conversation ranged from wildlife found in the forest through how we engage visitors of all ages to how we welcome dogs.
“Our key focus was on the new Ashdown Forest podcast which takes the ten square miles of open access land as a springboard for conversations about wildlife. Eka and Tom have poured their love and knowledge into their celebration of the forest and I cannot recommend the episodes enough.”
Ashdown Forest was the inspiration for Winnie the Pooh's Hundred Acre Wood, with author A. A. Milne having a home there.
The group were recording an episode of Ramblings where Clare talks to “notable and interesting people” on a walk.
- The episode will be broadcast on Radio 4 at 3pm on Thursday, May 25, and repeated at just after 6am on Saturday, May 27.
- It will also be available on BBC sounds after the first broadcast, by clicking here https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/m001m4w4
