A new Asian restaurant is set to open its doors next week and is offering free katsu curry to its first customers.

Banana Tree, describing itself as a “Pan-Asian” restaurant, includes a wide range of dishes from Singapore, Thailand and Indonesia as well as many other countries across the region.

To celebrate the opening, it is offering 1,000 free katsu curries from its opening date on Monday, June 5.

Anne Chow, managing director at Banana Tree, said: “It’s really exciting to be bringing the flavours of Banana Tree to a new community.

“Whether you want to tuck into a Pan-Asian feast, or enjoy two-for-one cocktails with friends or just enjoy some light bites, we’ve got something for everyone.”

Banana Tree will offer a wide range of vegetarian and vegan meals with over 40 per cent of the menu being plant-based.

The new restaurant will create ten jobs and the original team from Café Rouge will also move over to the new restaurant.
