Two women are believed to have stolen an elderly woman’s purse while she browsed a charity shop.

CCTV caught the theft in the Cancer Research shop in Western Road, Brighton, where the purse, containing the woman’s bank card and bus pass, was taken.

Now, police have released images of two women they would like to speak to.

One is white and about 5ft 7in and of large build. She has shoulder-length brown hair with dyed blonde elements in a balayage style.

She was wearing a black jacket and mustard-coloured top and carrying a brown handbag.

The second is white, 5ft 6in and slim with very long black hair and a pale complexion. She wore a black puffer jacket and black trousers.

Anyone who recognises the women or who has any further information about the theft is asked to report it to the police online or call 101 quoting serial 391 of 21/05.
