Motorists have been the target of egg throwing attacks on the A259.
There were reports of people throwing eggs at cars at the Ovingdean roundabout near Rottingdean.
The egg-throwing spree happened yesterday afternoon at around 4.40pm.
One woman warned people to keep their windows up and said she could not see the people but could see the volley of eggs "coming over" on to the road.
David Spellman gave advice to people if eggs were to hit their windscreen.
He said: "Important not to put four wipers on and or spray. Will totally obscure screen and you will have to stop."

Charlotte Rutherford added: "Well they missed and got the car behind. It was overheating and the eggs fried right on the bonnet. I couldn't believe my eyes."
Carol Aston said: "Costly game, price of eggs right now."
A spokesman for Sussex Police said: "Police received one report of eggs being thrown at a vehicle at the Ovingdean roundabout, Greenways, Brighton, at about 4.40pm on May 30."
